Khai Nok Krata

One of my favourite hawker food snacks are Khai Nok Krata, or Fried Quail Eggs. You don’t see them around that often. When I do, I usually go straight for them. They cost about 20 baht for a tray and these days they pad the tray with shredded cabbage to make it look more. If you want, the vendor will spray some soy sauce on top as well as some black pepper. The vendor uses the same hot plate as for Khanom Krok.
